Terms of Service

Last updated: 10 August 2026 ยท Version: 2026-08-10.1

These terms govern the coaching services supplied by Alex Brownett, trading as The Brownett Method. Any individual coaching agreement, order confirmation, or written terms agreed with you also forms part of the contract. If there is a conflict, the individual coaching agreement takes priority for the relevant service.

The service

The Brownett Method provides body-recomposition coaching. A programme may include assessment calls, training and nutrition structures, educational material, check-ins, feedback, and accountability support. The exact scope, duration, price, billing period, communication channels, and response expectations will be stated in your coaching agreement before payment.

Eligibility and applications

You must be at least 16 years old to apply. A person aged 16 or 17 needs a parent or guardian to approve the coaching contract before onboarding, payment or coaching begins. The young person still controls their own health-data consent where applicable. Under-16s cannot apply.

Submitting an application or booking a call does not guarantee acceptance. A contract begins only when we confirm acceptance, provide the final service and payment terms in a durable form, and receive the agreed initial payment, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Your responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information, disclose relevant health limitations, follow reasonable safety instructions, use your own judgement, and tell us promptly if your health or circumstances change. You remain responsible for deciding whether to perform any exercise or make any dietary change and for obtaining medical advice when appropriate.

Fees, payments, cancellations, and refunds

The applicable price, payment schedule, minimum term, cancellation process, pause terms, and refund terms will be provided in your individual coaching agreement before you pay.

Where UK distance-contract rules apply, you normally have a 14-day cancellation period beginning after the contract is made. If you expressly ask us to start coaching during that period and later cancel, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for service already supplied. If the service is fully performed during the period after your express request and acknowledgement, the cancellation right may end. Your coaching agreement will explain the applicable process and include a cancellation form where required.

Nothing in these terms limits cancellation, refund, or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under UK consumer law.

Privacy, health information, and permissions

Our Privacy Notice explains how personal data is used. Personalised coaching requires relevant health information and explicit health-data consent. You may withdraw consent, but that can make safe personalised coaching impossible and may require suspension or termination. Withdrawal does not remove fees already earned or records we must lawfully keep.

Marketing and use of testimonials, results, names, photos or videos are optional, separate from the coaching contract, and can be withdrawn for future use. They are not a condition of service.

No guarantee of results

Coaching outcomes depend on factors including your starting point, health, consistency, effort, sleep, diet, training, and circumstances. We do not promise a particular amount of weight loss, body composition, performance, or timeframe. Testimonials and examples are individual experiences, not guarantees.

Not medical care

The service is educational coaching and is not medical diagnosis, treatment, physiotherapy, dietetic care, or emergency support. Consult your GP or another appropriately qualified professional before changing diet or exercise, particularly if you have a medical condition, symptoms, an injury, take medication, are pregnant, or have a history of disordered eating.

Intellectual property and conduct

Programme materials remain the intellectual property of Alex Brownett or the stated rights holder. You may use supplied materials personally during your coaching but may not copy, publish, resell, share, or commercially exploit them without written permission. You must not misuse communication channels, harass others, or share another client's confidential information.

Suspension and termination

Either party may end the service as set out in the coaching agreement. We may suspend or terminate service for non-payment, abusive conduct, unsafe participation, material breach, or where continuing would be inappropriate. Accrued rights and terms intended to survive termination remain in effect.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation. Subject to that, we are not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable loss. Any further limits will be stated in the coaching agreement and applied only to the extent permitted by law.

Changes, governing law, and contact

We may update these website terms for future services. Changes do not retrospectively alter an existing coaching contract unless agreed or required by law. These terms and any non-contractual dispute are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer right to bring proceedings elsewhere in the UK.

Mandatory consumer protections in your home country or state continue to apply where they cannot be excluded. Questions can be sent to privacy@thebrownettmethod.com.
